Terms of service
Last updated: November 14, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and inkplume when you sign up for and use the service at inkplume.com, app.inkplume.com, and the inkplume API. By creating an account, paying for a subscription, or using the service in any way, you accept them.
We tried to keep this short. If something is unclear, email hello@inkplume.com.
1. Who can use inkplume
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. The account holder must be a real person or a legally registered business. If you sign up on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company to these terms.
2. Your account
- Keep your password secret. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Keep your email address current so we can reach you about billing and security.
- One person, one account. Teams use organizations and members with roles (OWNER, ADMIN, EDITOR, VIEWER).
- Don't share access in a way that defeats the per-account pricing (sharing a single login across companies, reselling seats).
3. Subscription, billing, cancellation
inkplume Pro is $99 per month, or $594 per year for waitlist members (50% off the regular $1,188 yearly). Prices are in USD. EU VAT is added at checkout where applicable and handled automatically by Stripe Tax.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current period. You keep access until then.
- We don't prorate refunds for partial periods. If we make a mistake on your bill, email us and we'll fix it.
- If a charge fails, we'll retry through Stripe Dunning. If payment isn't recovered, the subscription pauses and generation stops until payment resumes.
- We may change prices for new signups at any time. Existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice before any price increase applies to their plan.
4. What inkplume does
The service generates SEO-oriented articles for the sites you add, creates accompanying images, inserts internal and external links, and (when you connect a CMS) publishes the result. It uses live SERP data, your brand voice samples, and third-party large language models. Output quality depends on the keyword, your site context, and the LLM's current state. We do not guarantee specific search rankings, traffic levels, or AI citation outcomes.
5. Your responsibilities for AI-generated content
You own the articles inkplume generates for you. You are also responsible for reviewing them before they go public. Specifically:
- Verify factual claims, statistics, and citations. Large language models occasionally fabricate. Our quality scorer flags some of this; you are the final editor.
- Confirm anything regulated or compliance-sensitive (medical, legal, financial, safety) with a qualified human before publishing.
- Edit anything that misrepresents you, your products, or third parties.
You can disable auto-publish at any time and keep articles in draft for manual review. We recommend it for new accounts.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use inkplume to generate or publish content that:
- Infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or threatens others.
- Constitutes spam, deceptive advertising, or attempts to manipulate search engines beyond accepted SEO practice.
- Promotes hate, violence, or sexual content involving minors.
- Includes credentials, payment data, or other secrets that don't belong on a public site.
We may suspend an account that violates this section, with or without notice depending on severity, and reserve the right to remove offending content from inkplume infrastructure.
7. Backlink exchange
The peer-to-peer backlink exchange is opt-in. When you opt in, your articles may include one contextual outbound link from another member, and other members' articles may link back to yours. Placement is triangulated, never reciprocal.
- You can opt out at any time from the Backlinks tab.
- You retain editorial control. Use the blocked-domain list to exclude specific sites you don't want linked from.
- Outbound links pulled from the exchange must comply with section 6 (acceptable use). If you spot a link from inkplume to a site that violates it, report it to hello@inkplume.com and we'll remove it.
8. CMS integrations
Connecting a CMS (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Notion, Wix, Framer, or a custom webhook) requires giving inkplume credentials with enough access to publish posts on your behalf. We encrypt those credentials at rest, never return them in any API response, and only use them to publish what you queued.
You can revoke access from your CMS at any time, and you can delete the integration in the dashboard. Doing so stops all future publishes to that target.
9. Service availability
inkplume is in soft launch. We make a reasonable effort to keep the service available, but we don't offer a contractual uptime SLA at the Pro tier yet. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where practical.
10. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of your sites, your brand voice samples, the articles inkplume generates for you, the images it generates for you, and the outbound links it places. inkplume retains ownership of the platform itself, its source code, models, prompts, pipelines, and the aggregate (non-identifying) usage data we use to improve them.
You grant inkplume a limited license to process your content strictly to deliver the service (generate, publish, score, match for the backlink exchange).
11. Termination
You can cancel any time from the billing portal, and you can delete your organization (and all associated data) in the dashboard with one click.
We can terminate or suspend an account for material breach of these terms (typically section 6), repeated unpaid invoices, or if we're legally required to. We'll give as much notice as the situation reasonably allows.
On termination: outstanding fees are due, your access ends, published articles already on your CMS stay where they are (we don't delete them from your site), and we proceed with the deletion timeline described in the privacy policy.
12. Disclaimers
inkplume is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that articles will rank for any specific keyword, drive any specific level of traffic, or be cited by any AI search engine.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, inkplume is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if we were warned that such damages were possible.
Our total aggregate liability under these terms is capped at the fees you actually paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where inkplume is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will first be discussed in good faith by email; any remaining disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that registration.
If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or UK, this clause does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-law rules of the country where you live.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service evolves. Material changes will be emailed to account owners at least 14 days before taking effect. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. Continued use of inkplume after a material change means you accept the new terms.
16. Contact
Anything related to these terms: email hello@inkplume.com. Real people, real answers, usually within one business day.
